Medical Minute by Dr. James Yang / Pharmaceutical Marketing

Researchers found that dermatologists prescribed expensive branded medications 70% of the time versus only 17% at an academic center that did not allow samples in their clinic.  Nationally, they found that the presence of samples lead to more prescriptions of expensive branded medications.  Samples of medications are not given at Metro Immediate & Primary Care to ensure lack of industry’s influence in provider’s prescribing habits.
