Symptoms of influenza include cough, fever, sore throat, headache, extreme fatigue and body aches. If you are experiencing any of these, come visit one our clinics for a flu test and possible treatment. While there is no cure for the flu, there are certain antiviral medications that can shorten the duration of symptoms. They work best if started within 48 hours so don’t delay! Remember, this illness can become very severe and lead to dehydration or respiratory complications. If you have consistently high fevers, are unable to keep fluids down, or have shortness of breath, go immediately to the Emergency Department.

Its not too late to get the flu vaccine! As long as the flu virus is circulating, the vaccine is recommended for people ages 6 months and older (regardless if you have already gotten the flu virus this year).
